By booking a flight with us, you accept these terms.

1. What we do

We fly tandem paragliders from the cliffs above Fonte da Telha, south of Lisbon. You fly harnessed to a licensed pilot who controls the wing. We have been flying since 1997.

A flight lasts approximately 20 minutes in the air. Allow around two hours in total for the briefing, waiting for the right conditions, the flight itself, and the walk back.

2. Our experiences and prices

Experience What it includes Price
Fly Pack 20-minute tandem flight €75
Adventure Pack 20-minute tandem flight, plus GoPro video and photographs of your flight €95
Hero’s Pack 20-minute tandem flight, GoPro video and photographs, and return transport from Lisbon (minimum 2 people) €150

Prices are per person, in euros, and include VAT at the applicable rate. Prices may change, but the price we quoted when we confirmed your booking is the price you pay.

3. Booking — and why you do not pay in advance

You pay after you fly. There is no deposit and no prepayment.

This is deliberate. Paragliding depends entirely on the weather, and a meaningful number of flights cannot go ahead on the day they were planned. Taking your money in advance and then handing most of it back — minus the fees the payment processors keep — would be worse for you and worse for us. So we do not take it at all.

What this means in practice:

  • You send us a booking request through the form on this website, by email, or by WhatsApp.
  • We reply the same day with a proposed date and time.
  • Your booking is confirmed only when we have confirmed it to you in writing. A submitted form is a request, not yet a booking.
  • On the day, we look at the actual conditions and confirm or postpone.
  • You fly.
  • You pay, in cash or by credit card .

Booking costs you nothing and commits you to nothing but your time.

4. Weather, and who decides

The pilot decides whether it is safe to fly, and that decision is final.

We will not fly you in conditions we are not happy with, whatever the circumstances — not if you have travelled a long way, not if it is your last day in Portugal, not if you insist.

If we cancel or postpone because of the weather or for any other safety reason:

  • You owe us nothing. There is nothing to refund, because you never paid.
  • We will offer you another slot, as soon as conditions allow and your schedule permits.
  • We are not liable for any other cost you incurred — travel, accommodation, time off. If you are on a tight schedule, please build in a spare day and tell us when you book.

We monitor the forecast and will keep you informed, usually by WhatsApp, in the days and hours before your flight.

5. Who can fly

To fly with us you must:

  • Be aged between 6 and 80 years
  • Weigh between 30 kg and 130 kg
  • Be able to run a few steps on uneven ground for take-off and landing
  • Wear closed sports shoes . Sandals, flip-flops and open shoes are not permitted — this is a safety requirement, not a preference.

Passengers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must give written authorisation before the flight.

You must tell us in advance if you are pregnant, or if you have a heart condition, a back or neck injury, epilepsy, recent surgery, reduced mobility, or any other condition that could be affected by physical exertion or by flight. We treat this information confidentially and use it only to decide whether we can fly you safely. If you conceal a relevant condition, we are not liable for the consequences.

We may refuse to fly anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who is not in a condition to follow the pilot’s instructions. In that case no charge applies.

6. On the day

You agree to:

  • Arrive at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time
  • Listen to and follow the pilot’s safety briefing and instructions, before and during the flight
  • Not interfere with the wing, the harness or the controls
  • Take responsibility for your own belongings. Loose items — phones, sunglasses, hats, cameras — must be secured or left behind. We are not responsible for anything lost in flight.

7. If you need to cancel

Cancelling costs you nothing. There is no fee and no penalty, ever.

We only ask that you tell us as soon as you know. We often have people waiting for a slot, and a few hours’ notice lets us give yours to someone else. A message on WhatsApp is enough.

If you do not turn up and do not tell us, we will assume you are no longer interested and we may not be able to prioritise a future request from you.

8. Photographs and video

If your package includes video and photographs, we will deliver them to you after the flight.

We will publish images of you — on this website, on social media, or anywhere else — only if you have given us permission . We will ask you. Saying no changes nothing about your flight and costs you nothing. If you said yes and later change your mind, write to us and we will take them down.

Technical failures happen: cameras fail, batteries die, memory cards corrupt. If we cannot deliver your images for a reason of that kind, you pay the Fly Pack price instead of the package price, and we are sorry.

9. Risk and liability

Paragliding is an air sport. Even when conducted by licensed professionals with maintained equipment, it carries inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated. By flying with us, you accept those risks.

Our pilots are licensed and our equipment is maintained and inspected in accordance with the applicable rules.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including travel and accommodation costs arising from a flight that could not take place.

10. Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for two years from the date of issue. They are transferable — the person who receives it does not have to be the person who bought it. They cannot be exchanged for cash.

If the weather prevents a flight before the voucher expires, tell us and we will extend it. You will not lose a voucher because of the weather.

11. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us first — write to info@flylisbonparagliding.com and we will try to put it right.

Under Portuguese law you also have access to the electronic complaints book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.

For consumer disputes you may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution body. Where no territorially competent centre applies, the national body is the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo ( www.cniacc.pt). EU residents may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes fall to the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in the country where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your flight is the version published on this website when we confirmed your booking.
